Our Athletic Program challenges the campers in a competitive setting, while offering a high level of instruction in a given sport. Our staff is comprised of high school and college level coaches and players. The coaches at Diamond Ridge foster a positive and goal-oriented environment for our Athletic Majors. Campers are grouped by age and ability. So, if you are trying to make your school basketball team, learn field hockey for the first time or just become a better soccer player, we will help you achieve your goals.
Diamond Ridge Day Camp is known for its unparalleled Aquatics Program. Our goal is to provide an instructional program which builds self-confidence, as well as competence for children when in the water. Our instructional swim program is known to the children as T.E.A.M. Swim, Teaching Excellence in Aquatic Methods. This program is centered around safety in the water and works in conjunction with the American Red Cross 6 swim levels of advancement. Our staff is able to provide this comprehensive instructional program in our pool, designed to serve various ages and skill levels of our campers.
The children are provided with the opportunity to swim twice daily; T.E.A.M. Swim in the morning and Fun Swim in the afternoon. On the hottest days of the summer the children are provided with additional opportunities to swim in the pools!
Creative and Performing Arts
In this program, campers learn to express their imagination as a Creative & Performing Arts Major. Campers may select different medias to work with, depending on their interests. Our instructors are experienced teachers who guide campers into improving existing talents, developing new skills and encouraging creative thinking in all activities. The variety of specialties allows campers to broaden and refine their artistic abilities.
Campers discover the world around them within our Outdoor Adventures Program. Our 33 acre campus includes wilderness trails, a creek, a 3 acre lake, archery range and a low/high ropes course. The activities enable campers to develop new skills, while appreciating the outdoors.
